Frederick County’s schools are more than buildings. They are the heart of our community and the foundation for every child’s future. As a former teacher of sixteen years, I know what works in classrooms and what students need to thrive. Every student deserves excellent teachers, modern classrooms, and the support they need to succeed. My experience in the classroom drives every decision I make as County Executive.

What I Have Done

• Increased education funding by 40 percent over four years

• Fully funded the Frederick County Public Schools budget for the first time in fifteen years

• Invested over $450 million in school construction and renovation projects

• Built the new Linganore Creek Elementary School in one year, relieving overcrowding

• Expanded student supports, including funding for mental health professionals
  

What I Will Do

• Invest in career and technical education to create more access for students

• Fight for full funding of the Frederick County Public Schools budget

• Continue to invest in facilities so every child has access to safe and modern classrooms
